M•A•C Lustre Lipstick ~ Syrup♡

Hello lovelies!
So a lot of people (on Instagram) always ask me what m•a•c lipstick I would reccomend as their first buy. I actually only own one, but I think this one is the most perfect shade ever.

This lipstick is in the shade "syrup" and it's an amazing wearable everyday colour!

It's got more of a purpley tone than pink but it's still gorgeous! I really like this lipstick as it lasts on your lips for ages! I can't always feel it still on my lips but if you look in the mirror you can still see the colour.

M•A•C lipsticks are £15 which is a little pricey but definitely worth it for the quality of the lipsticks!

I hope you enjoyed this blogpost.

Social Media & Society

Hellooooo lovelies!

Today I'm going to talk about social media. I've seen a lot of people on Instagram and all these sites getting themselves down so I thought I would just give a very serious speech (I'm not a serious person at all, nope).

Social media can be good but in some ways it's not. Lots of people (teens mainly) can feel under pressure and feel as if they have to fit society's interherpratations of a "perfect girl/boy". Apparently you need a thigh gap and have to be skinny.

You do not need to listen to anyone about being skinny or having a thigh gap. I certainly do not have a thigh gap and I have realised that as long as I'm happy with myself that's all that matters! I have took a turn with being healthy and rather than choosing fattening foods I choose the foods that will be better for my body, and it makes me feel a lot better!

That was my choice, speaking from experience I have been called "fat" a lot of times and I know I'm not the skinniest girl ever and that's exactly how I want to be. So why should you or anyone feel unhappy with the way they look just because some low-life calls you a rude name? It makes me angry how people think it's okay to judge someone like that.

If you feel unhappy with your body just because YOU don't like it then change it. But don't let other people make you do that.

Wear whatever you want to wear, do whatever you want to do because who cares about what other people say?! As long as you are happy that's all that matters!

Do more of what you love because life is way too short, so why waste it trying to please society?

You (directly to you) are a wonderful person, don't let anyone bring you down because you are so much better than them, trust me!

I hope this has helped a few of you out. If you ever want to talk to me feel free to dm me on...

Little Mix Concert: Makeup, Hair and Outfit!♡

Hello lovelies!

Firstly, I am so sorry for not doing a blogpost in a while! But in returning with a blog that I'm so excited to post! I'm going to a little mix concert on Saturday 24th May and I thought I would show you my hair, makeup and outfit! I hope you enjoy!

Makeup:

For makeup I wanted matte skin and a pretty pink look with some smokey-ness running through it, so of course I grabbed my naked 3 pallete as it does the job perfectly for this!

Firstly, I primed my face with the Seventeen stay time long wear primer and then put on my revlon nearly naked foundation.
Before foundation I also put a little plop of benefits porefessional on my nose to minimise pores!
I literally HAVE to put concealer on as I have really bad dark circles so I took the revlon colour stay first under my eyes and the rimmel wake me up in a triangle shape under my eyes.

I then took my Rimmel stay matte powder and lightly brushed that over the oily areas on my face. And I took my favourite bronzer which is the avon glow pallete in the shade "peach glow" and I took that in the hollows of my cheeks and up to my temples.

I then took my absolute favourite blush which is the Posie tint by benefit and put two lines of the liquid on my cheeks and patted it in with my fingers. (I don't know if that makes sense but I hope you get it...).
For eyebrows I took my Maybeline brow drama mascara, I just love this product so easy and quick to use.

For eyes I of course used my naked 3 pallete, it's gorgeous.
• Firstly, I apply burnout all over my lid, this is a champagne-pink shade.
• Then, I apply Liar in the crease. This is a grey kind of tone with shimmers of brown in.

I have been loving this mascara at the moment, this is Maybeline's high heel volume mascara, it adds such amazing length to my lashes.
Lastly, I took my No7 lipstick in the shade "Classic rose" and dabbed this on my lips so it wasn't such a bold colour.

Hair:

For hair I went with something quite natural but still quite pretty.

• Firstly, I straightened all the frizzy sections in my hair. My hair is very frizzy so it's a must...
• After straightening, I hairsprayed as most of the frizz is at the top, but not a lot of hairspray just a light spray.
• Then avoiding the hairsprayed sections, I curled my hair then brushed the curls out with my fingers.
• Finally, I hairsprayed lightly Over my curls. These need to stay in from 10-12am so hairspray is a must must must!

I use Babyliss curlers and straighteners.

This is actually from my "How I curl my hair" blogpost but the curls are exactly like this!
Outfit:

I love this outfit! The jacket is just so gorgeous. It's perfect for these kind of occasions. I love my shirt and of course my Joni jeans!

Also these boots make me a little taller, and of course they are beautiful!

Coat: Next
Shirt: Topshop
Joni Jeans: Topshop
Boots: New Look
Bag: Amazon

I'm so sad the concert is over... Currently suffering from post-concert depression.

I hope you enjoyed this blogpost!

Please comment on them telling me if you went to the same concert date! Or even if you went to the salute tour.

Love lots

How to: Iced Coffee♡

Hello lovelies!
Welcome back to my blog. I have quite a different blog for you today but it has been highly requested on Instagram and this is my addiction at the moment so I thought I would show you how I make my iced coffee. I'm a big addict yep.

Firstly, I add 3-4 tea-spoonfuls of NescafĂ© gold blend barista style coffee into my Starbucks cup (you can use any cup/mug of your choice!). This is my favourite ever!
I then add cold, tap water in (this really depends how big the cup is!). Next, I add in some milk. These steps really vairy on how strong or weak you like things. DONT FORGET TO STIR!

Next, I add in Monin's vanilla syrup. I pour the syrup in the lid 3 times and add this into my cup and stir. If you wish, you can put in some ice but I prefer not to.

And there you have it! Your iced coffee. It's very self-explanatory. I love making this and it really is just so quick, yummy and simple!

I hope you have enjoyed this blogpost, If you make this iced coffee please post the photo on Instagram or twitter and tag me in it for me to see!

Q&A | #askdannix ♡

Hello lovelies!

So I realised I have not done a Q&A (questions and answers) in such a long time. This is a really fun thing to do as you get to know me a lot more and I love talking to you all and answering your questions. I have picked questions from twitter and Instagram!

Instagram questions:

1.
@pastelkennethx
Q: how long can you spend time in your room?
A: I could be in there all day as long as I have food and internet.

2. So many people asked this so I'm not going to tag them all haha, also the answer is the same as another question...
Q: 10 favourite Instagram accounts?
@ohitsmiaaa
Q: 10 instagramers you would want to meet?
A:

@chloemelody
@annacamillax
@georgiaa_louise
@_hancock
@spoonfuloflucy
@alexiatorix
@anouskaanastasia
@lucy.rosehx
@whateveramb
@alexus

These accounts are all beautiful and I love them to pieces. Also, these people all seem so lovely (or I definitely know they are lovely!).

3. @onceupxnatime
Q: what's your all time favourite makeup product?
A: the naked 3 pallete! It's actually really versatile and I can create so many different looks with it.

4. @annieslife__
Q: if there was a book of your life, would you read it until the end?
A: no I would not! It would ruin the whole idea of having fun in life, because you will know what's going to happen next.

5. @rose_nambasa
Q: How would you say is the best way of making my blog big like yours?
A: I think asking people what kind of blogs they would like to see really helps. But also at the same time, you need to choose and have fun with it! There's not really a way of lots of people reading it unless you make it fun, interesting an enjoyable to read which is so easy! I also find lots of inspiration too.

Twitter questions:

1. @xxgracexox
Q: what's your fave food?
A: I like wayyyy too many foods, there isn't anything I don't like! But I'm obsessed with sweet potatoe chips, salad and peri peri chicken.

2. @mhairiw_
Q: what would be the one makeup product that if you lost you would rush to repurchase?
A: I think it would have to be my Benefit bad gal mascara, I would die without it!

3. @alex_farleyxox
Q: what's your favourite song at the moment?
A: 5SOS Don't stop, it's soooo good!!!

4. @kat__mae
Q: who's your fave youtuber?
A: I can't choose one! I have 3 ultimate faves which are Zoella, Tanya Burr and Velvetgh0st!

5. @kelbyktennison
Q: if you could one live with three things for the rest of your life (can be anything) what would they be?
A: unlimted supply of food ( I don't know if that counts but oh well), a blanket and Netflix.

6. @chloemelody
Q: what's your favourite word? *hint* snazzay *hint*
A: it's obviously snazzay

Thankyou so much for all the questions! I appreciated all of them and I'm really sorry about the ones I didn't answer!

Hope you enjoyed reading!

Love lots

Pretty, Gold Makeup Look♡

Hello lovelies!

Today I have a pretty, gold makeup look for you! I wear this makeup so often so I thought I would share with you my look!

I'm going to use my normal foundation and concelar routine but of course you can use your own routine! I use my Revlon nearly naked all over my face and my Revlon colours stay concelar under my eyes and on blemishes.

Next, I use my favourite bronzer which is the Avon glow pallete in peach glow which I feel perfectly compliments the gold eye! I just put this in the hollows of my cheeks, blend and slightly add some to my temples.
Because my eyes and contour stands out I'm using a very pretty, soft pink blush. This is the Maybeline dream touch cream blush (mouthful!) in the shade "06" and just dab this on my cheeks close to the countour.

Onto the main feature... EYES! I am going to be using "Trick" from the Naked 3 Pallete over the entire lid and blend it up to the crease with the brush that comes in the pallete. I also take "Trick" under my eye. Then I use "Liar" in the crease for a little bit more definition!

I then use my favourite mascara at the moment! This is the benefit bad gal lash and I love it!

Usually I would wear this MAC lipstick in the shade "Syrup" as it's so pretty. But I have Realised my Revlon lip butter in the shade "peach parfait" goes amazingly with the look! Its quite a nude pink shade but has such pretty sparkles in it and goes so well with the makeup!

This is the makeup look with the MAC lipstick. This picture doesn't do it justice at all, but I love this look! If you own the Naked 3 pallete recreate this look and send me a picture to...

Favourite Summer/Spring Nail Polishes♡

Hello my lovelies!

Today I am going to share with you my Summer/Spring go to nail varnishes! I have discovered my favourites ones to wear throughout Spring and they are the same as my Summer go to's! I hope you enjoy!

This is my current favourite and it's the Maybeline colour show nail polish in the shade "77 Nebline" it's such a gorgeous light pink colour and goes really lovely with a tan.
~ £2.99
Not many people would like this kind of nail varnish as it has quite a unusual texture but I like it and adore the colour! This is a Barry M texture nail polish in the shade "Atlantic Road" I love the name!
~ £3.99
I seriously want more Revlon nail polishes they have such gorgeous packaging! This is in the shade "261 sparkling" it's perfect to go over the top of a nail polish with or to go on just the accent nail which I adore doing!
~£6.49
This is beyond perfect for a tan! This is a Barry M Gelly nail polish and I love these and the way they leave such a gorgeous glossy sheen over your nail. I couldn't find the shade on this nail polish but I'm sure when you see it at the counter you will know it's this one! It's a lovely neon orange, but not too bright.
~£3.99
Next I have this Topshop nail polish in the shade "Parma violet". It's the perfect lilac colour EVER!
~£5

Next is another Barry M Gelly in the shade "Blueberry" it's a gorgeous blue kind of purple and I adore it!
~£3.99
Next I have this UNBELIEVEABLY pretty revlon nail varnish. It's a limited edition spiderman one which I caved into of course. It's in the shade "I'm electro" if you have watched the movie you will know this Is the perfect name! I know this will go amazingly with a tan.
~£6.49
As you can see it changes colour depending on the light which I just can't even deal about I love it.

And finally, I have this gorgeous colour by the beautiful Tanya Burr in the shade "peaches and cream" it's just a perfect nude pink and I love it so much!

~£5.99

That's the end of this blogpost lovelies! I hope you enjoyed it! What are your favourite Summer/Spring nail polishes?

First Impression ~ Revlon Nearly Naked♡

Hello lovelies!

Welcome back to my blog! I recently went out to boots and noticed they had a 3 for 2 on across lots of beauty products so I of course went for it and bought some things... One of the things I bought was this Revlon Nearly Naked foundation so I thought I would do a little review and my first impressions on it!

Before I even went to boots, I heard this foundation was really good and Emma Stone (one of the embassodors of Revlon) wears this and her skin is flawless so I had to give this a go!

When I first applied it to my skin it instantly melted into my skin. I used a real techniques buffing brush to buff this into my skin. It's very light and literally you can't tell if your even wearing makeup! My foundation is in the shade "120 Vanilla" as I like a foundation a little lighter than the skin so I can powder and bronze it up!

This foundation has an SPF of 20 so I think it's absoultely perfect for now and summer! I think this may just be my go to in summer as it's only £8.99 and has such a wide range of shades!

I'm in love with this foundation, even the bottle of it makes you want to buy it! The only down side is there is no pump, but I still absolutely love it!

I hope you enjoyed this blogpost and maybe you will be purchasing this in the future?

Love
