Regatta Party - Scones & Pimms

When we visit Devon, it's around the time of the Regatta which is boat racing and all sorts of lovely activities go on.

So, my stepmum's mum arranges a party so a few families from Dartmouth come to the house and we celebrate with scones & Pimms (obviously not for me, I'm underage).

During the party, a Typhoon (mahoooosive plane used in WW2) comes over, basically making me deaf for a little while. The red arrows come over, and so does another plane. These planes do tricks and flips, it's very cool indeed.

Day Out In Dartmouth

Incase any of you didn't know, I have been staying in Dartmouth (Devon) since Thursday (28th) and shall be leaving on Sunday (30th). I come to visit every year at my stepmum's mum's home (confused?!? Sorry). It's really beautiful here, me and my sister are currently sharing a room and we look out to the view of the ocean every morning.

Anyway, today we went into Dartmouth town, so I thought I would take some pictures and put them in a blogpost! Enjoy <3

Me and my sister went on the Ferrace wheel...

I am going to upload a Get ready with me video about today, so that shall be up soon!

Tanya Burr Lipglosses / First Impressions

So recently I went shopping for my birthday, I walked past superdrug and could not resist picking up a few bits, including a Tanya Burr lipgloss!

I picked up the shade "Aurora" which is a gorgeous pink that really does remind me of the Disney Princess Aurora! It's a very similar shade to Aurora's Princess dress.

I only picked up one as usually I don't get along with lip glosses, but this is very comfortable and easy to apply on my lips! It's not at all sticky and it has a really lovely sheen to it too.

These lipglosses retail at £5.99 each which is an amazing price! I would highly recommend these lipglosses! I definitely am going to buy more!

My Birthday Present ~ Little Silver Rings

It's my birthday today (hooray!) and I got up at midnight to open my cards and presents. I opened my sisters presents which were very lovely thanks to her, and I pulled out the most gorgeous rings ever captured in the picture above.

I have been looking for silver rings for ages and she knows that too. She picked these up for me and the detailing on all is beautiful! With little diamonds on to little pink gems and flowers... How can you say no?!

These were £1.50.... YOU HEARD ME! £1.50 for these beautiful gems at Primark. It may seem a bit cheap-scapey but my sister understands me, all the presents I received from her were lovely.

Why don't you head down to Primark and pick up a pack of these?!

Lots of love

Dining out: Birthday Meal

Hello lovelies!

So yesterday evening I went out for my stepdads dads birthday (confused? Me too).

Me, my sister, my baby sister, my mum, my stepdad and his dad went out to a lovely little pub restaurant called The Prince George in MK and it was so cute and vintage in there that I had to take pictures!

I had to put this picture in of my baby sister as it made me chuckle haha.
Me and my sister ( such copycats) had the same and we had hunters chicken DELISH.
Wearing:
Dress ~ Topshop, Sandals ~ Primark, Bag ~ Primark

I couldn't find a pretty place to show my OOTD but hopefully in the future I will get better at this!

Hope you all enjoyed!

Let's Talk About Eyebrows: Eyebrows 101

Hello lovelies!

Today I'm going to talk you through my brows.

People say to me "your eyebrow game is on point" I couldn't appreciate it more than I do. So I'm going to tell you my little nifty tips and tricks on to getting your brows lovely and defined. In no way am I saying my eyebrows are perfect, but they are definitely suitable for everyday life!

Tips & Tricks

• Match a pencil or shadow with your eyebrow - for example if you have light brown eyebrows, don't fill them in with black or a very dark brown shadow! Match up as perfect as you can.

• Getting them shaped - pluck them if you desire but you need to be careful, over plucking leads to serious damage (such as wonky brows). You can get then shaped by having HD brows, threaded ect. I have had my brows threaded.

• Pencil or Powder? - when starting off with grooming your brows, you really want to be as natural as you can and use products that aren't too difficult to use. Pencil is a little risky as you need to apply gentle pressure. With a powder, you can tap and add as much as you want. I personally feel more comfortable with powder, and the eyeshadow I use for my eyebrows has amazing staying powder, it's the only aspect of my makeup that stays on all day! I do know you can use gels for your eyebrows, but pencil or powder is definitely the easiest way to go!

•

Line your brow brush next to the side of your nose. That's where naturally your eyebrows should start. As you can see my eyebrow goes slightly over haha. I prefer it that way.

Line your brow brush in an angle next to the side/end of your nose (hopefully you can see haha!). This is where the highest point of your brow should be (the arch).

Finally, line your brow brush just underneath your lower waterline (basicay under the eye) and that should be the end of your brow.

My Eyebrows

I fill my eyebrows in with the real techniques accent brush (above) as this helps give more definition and I can be as accurate as I possible can with this. And also I use the Naked basics pallete and I use the shade Faint to lightly fill them in.

Faint is the dark brown colour. I also use Venus which is the first colour on the left as a brow bone highlight.

I hope this helped you all!

What do you use for your brows?

City Break: Hand Luggage Essentials

Hello my lovelies!

I feel as if I haven't blogged in a long time...hm. But I am going to start doing OOTD blogposts for all and taking my blog a little bit more seriously as I love to write about things as well as film.

So today I am going to share with you my essential items for going away in my hand luggage (obviously if your going on a plane, don't pack aerosols).

So in my bag (which is from primark) there is:

Schwarzkopf Got2b Salt Spray: this is one of the best things ever. When ever I have boring straight hair or when my hair is in a pony tail I will spray some of this salt spray in, scrunch it up with my hands and you're done. You get your natural, beachy waves.

Batiste tropical dry shampoo: this is a life saver if you're in a sweaty car or train. It's just perfect to spray in your hair to either give Volume or soak up the oils with.

Chapstick: this is a raspberry one, this is just for when I get chapped lips as it tends to happen a lot!

Natural collection spray in strawberry: this is such a cheap item and I never really thought I liked it, but when you spray it it just smells like summer in a bottle. The spray has the most gorgeous scent and I would highly recommend to just refresh yourself up!

My makeup bag: my makeup bag is from primark and this just has all my makeup in. I just like to keep this with me if I need to touch up anything.

EarPods: how could you not need earphones?! I have these ones which came with my iPhone 5C.

iPad: I love taking my iPad with me as it has 4G so I can watch do a cheeky bit of Netflix-ing on the go.

And they are all my essentials!
What are your travel essentials?

My Month / June ♡

Hello lovelies!

I have a new kind of 'series' on my blog now called my month. I just keep you updated of what happened this month.

This month has been full of birthdays (it's been crazy). Some of my dearest friends have had birthdays (you know who you are, I have your present all ready for you!).

I went absolutely wild this month and bought myself my own dominos personal and pizza and I felt like a grown adult, not going to lie. I went crazy on the Starbucks too, I have a very big addiction to their caramel macchiatos (= life).

I have also been quite ill this month with a contagious virus. It's been really achey and horrid and I didn't want to go to school as it spreads apparently very fast, just for everyone's safety!

While I have been off school, I have been loving watching Wimbledon! I never thought I would say that, but I seriously need to go to a match!

I watched the fault in our stars too and gosh did I cry. I was weeping really loudly. Literally one of the best films ever and I'm so glad I read the book before I knew the film was even coming out!!!

I also received a free eyeliner in a magazine and that has been one of my monthly faves, but I have a YouTube video all about that!

What has June been like for you all?

Eyeko London ~ Skinny Liquid Eyeliner ~ First Impressions ♡

Hello lovelies!

Feels like forever since I last did a blogpost BUT I am back with another review! I'm reviewing the Eyeko London skinny liquid eyeliner in the shade "Navy".

This eyeliner is amazing! I literally NEVER wear eyeliner and for me to say its amazing...it's definitely amazing! I got this free in Glamour magazine (hurry up and get yours now!!). If you were to buy this normally it would cost £24.
At first, I didn't like the fact it was in the shade Navy because I just didn't think it would go with my green eyes. But it actually looks amazing! The nib on this is just like a thin felt tip so it's super easy application! It's so simple to draw a wing.

I tested this on my hand to see if it would smudge if I rubbed it, and it did not move! It stays on all day and I have now mastered the art of eyeliner! Eyeko do this eyeliner in black so I would recommend that rather than navy, but I'm so pleased with this eyeliner!

Will you be purchasing it?

Top 3 May Picks ♡

Hello lovelies!

So today I'm going to show you my top 3 picks from May! May has gone unbelievably fast! I now have a YouTube channel ( Danielle Carty) which is where I shall in the future upload my monthly faves but I have decided to just choose 3 from May to post on my blog!

Firstly is quite a new buy which is the Rimmel wake me up concealer, I love this concealer so much! It brightens up under my eyes really well and even covers my blemishes amazingly! So pleased with this product.

My next pick is the Benefit Posie tint, this is a poppy-pink lip and cheek stain so it comes out as a liquid. I love this, it literally stays on my cheeks all day and just adds the most prettiest pinky glow to my cheeks!

My last pick is a lipstick that I have had for a while but re-discovered. It's this Maybeline satin collection lipstick in the shade Delicate pink 155. I have been loving dabbing this on my lips then rubbing it in to tone down the colour a little but it's just a gorgeous rosey-pink colour that's perfect for spring/summer!

I hope you all have enjoyed this blogpost!
