My Top Drugstore Makeup Products♡

Hello my lovelies!
Welcome back to my blog!
Today, I thought I would go through my favorite drugstore makeup products. This may also help a few of you that are starting to use makeup too!

Primer

I have only ever used one drugstore primer and that's the Seventeen Stay Time Long Wear primer. It's actually very good and really helps my makeup stay.

Foundation

I absolutely love the Bourjouis Healthy Mix foundation as it feels so light on the skin and has a very light coverage too! Also I know the Maybeline Dream Fresh BB cream is not a foundation, but it works like a foundation and has a lovely coverage. It looks so fresh and isn't Cakey at all and I would highly reccomend it!

Concelar

These are the Collection concelars and I love them to pieces! They are so good and coverage up discouloration, blemishes and dark circles. I have three here because I wasn't quite sure which one was my colour... But I absolutely love this concelar and would highly reccomend it!

Lipsticks

I love this Kate Moss matte lipstick in the shade 107. It's a gorgeous dark red colour and stays on my lips for ages. I also love this revlon lip butter in the shade peach parfait. I seriously want more revlon lip butters as they are just so lovely! They are a mouisturising lipstick that do not add as much colour as normal lipsticks do. But they are amazing and would reccomend.

Blushes

I love the Maybeline dream touch blush in the shade "06" it adds a rosy glow to my cheeks and it looks really natural. The other blush here is the Seventeen instant glow shimmer brick. It's quite shimmery so I use it more as a highlighter kind of blush on the top of my cheek bones.
But it's gorgeous and I love it.

Powder

I have only tried one powder from the drugstore, but I really love the stay matte powder by rimmel. It does it's job really well and I like to take this powder with me throughout the day as I have really oily skin. Apparently this powder is essentially the same as the M•a•c mineralise finish one, so if you are looking for a cheaper version pick up this one!

Brows

I love this Maybeline brow drama sculpting brow mascara. It adds a lot of definition into your brows and keeps them in place, it's so good.

Eyeshadow

I'm afraid I have only tried one eyeshadow product from the drugstore (at least what I remember...) and it's the Maybeline 24h colour tattoo in the shade "pink gold" it's seriously amazing and adds a lovely colour to your eyes and literally takes a few seconds to put on!

Mascara

I am in love with the Big Eyes mascara by Maybeline! It just opens my eyes up and makes my eyelashes look so long! I love it so much!

Brushes

The real technique brushes are honestly amazing! They are reasonably priced and so easy to clean! I seriously would reccomend them. They stay super soft too.

So that's the end of this blogpost today, I hope you enjoyed it!

Pamper Evening Routine♡

Hello lovelies!

So today I'm going to share with you my pamper evening routine. I'm doing one tonight so I thought I would share with you my steps! Hope you enjoy.

Firstly, I take off all my makeup with the Garnier Micellar Cleansing water. This is so good, I prefer to take off my makeup with a Micellar cleanser rather than a makeup wipe as they are bad for the skin.

Then, I like to apply a face mask. The one I'm currently using is the Catastophe Cosmetic face mask by Lush. This is really good for the skin and leaves it super soft and hydrated.
Next I will run a nice, warm bath. Unfortunately, I don't have any bath bombs :( so I'm just going to use the Snow Fairy shower gel to create lots of bubbles and clean my body with the Soap and Glory Clean on Me. This smells devine!
Then I will paint my nails. I put on a nail and cuticle oil before putting on nail varnish as it just softens your skin and smells amazing. I have been obsessed with this Topshop nail varnish recently and it's in the colour Parma Violet. Once that's dry, I will put on a clear coat and the one I'm using is a Maybeline colour show one.
Once my nails are dry in will use the soap and glory Daily Smooth body butter onto my skin. I love the smell it's amazing and just does it job very well.

I will then put on some comfy pyjamas. I'm not sure where the pyjama bottoms are from but they are so comfy and I love the tartan pattern. The top is a white plain one from Topshop and the fluffy socks are from primark. If you don't own fluffy socks you have never lived, they are heaven above!
Lastly, I will go into the kitchen to make a cup of tea and get a little snack. I have mini eggs here because why not it's Easter?! The rest of the night I will go on Netflix. It's an addiction I cannot get off of it! I just love Gossip Girl, such an amazing programme!

I hope you enjoyed this blogpost, maybe it gave you some inspiration for your pamper evenings!

Hair Care Routine & Tips♡

Hello my lovelies and welcome back to my blog!

I have been taking really good care of my hair lately (very proud as I never used to!) and thought I would share with you my hair care routine, tips for having healthy hair and growing out your hair!

• The Routine

In the shower, I use my V05 revive me daily shampoo and conditioner. This claimed to refresh tired, limp hair and also include heat defence. I love this shampoo and conditioner, my hair feels so soft and shiny once it's dry after using these products. Would highly reccomend these!

After getting out the shower, I will either brush my hair with a comb or my tangle teezer. Tangle teezers are amazing and totally worth £12!

I then like to pump a tiny bit of Schwarzkopf got 2b Argan oil in my hair. This is really good, it just helps tames my flyaways and oh it's a dream. I tend to not dry my hair after a shower with a hair dryer, I just leave it to dry on its own.

If I use heat after leaving it to dry, I prep my hair with the L'orèal Paris Elnett Satin heat styling spray. I really like this, it's a good heat protectant that helps tame my flyaways (my flyaways are terrible).

And that's really my hair care routine! Now for some tips...

• Tips: Healthy Hair

I have a lot of hair, whether it be short or long as my hair is so thick! So it's very important I take a lot of care with it. As I said, I use an Argan oil in my hair which really nourishes it and adds a lovely shine.
When my hair is wet, I don't brush it as this will break my hair or leave spilt ends. So, I comb my hair after a shower to get rid of all noughts. Or, I use my tangle teezer which is a life saver!
I always use heat protection (as it says above) for my hair as I use so much heat on my hair (basically everyday!) so it's important I protect it.

• Tips: Hair Growth

In September/ August last year, I was in much desperate need of hair growth! My hair was short and very dry. I even bought a hair growth serum for my hair which only made it very greasy! So don't buy hair growth serums, they are not worth it at all. I'm going to share with you my own tips that helped me!

• Drink plenty of water
This may seem silly, but drinking water is very good for you as well as your hair!

• Don't wash your hair too often
Washing your hair too often can take out all the natural oils you need in your hair. Of course, wash your hair when you need to!

• Wash your hair 2-5 times a week
I was my hair 3-4 times a week, but this definitely varies with what hair type you have.

• Make sure to find the correct shampoo and conditioner
You need to find the shampoo and conditioner that suits your hair. Try different ones out, you will soon find the perfect one for you!

• Don't use too much heat
While you are growing out your hair, try not to use too much heat as this can damage your hair (even with heat protectant believe it or not! :( ) my hair is naturally frizzy and wavy so it really needs heat, but try to work with your natural hair!

Thankyou for reading this blogpost and I really hope it helps some of you out!

Natural Makeup Look♡

Hello lovelies!
Welcome back to my blog!

It's the first of April today and I thought I would do a March Favourites blogpost but realised there isn't much I have been absolutely loving this month! So instead, we could start this month off with a natural, fresh makeup look!

Firstly, I'm going to apply this Maybeline BB cream all over my face. This has such a lovely finish and evens out all the discolouration on my face!
Next, I'm going to take this Maybeline dream touch cream blush in the colour "06" which is so gorgeous! It adds a lovely pink glow to your cheeks with a slight shimmer.

I'm then going to powder over the areas I need powdering. I have quite oily skin so it's essential for me! This is the rimmel stay matte powder and I love it. The brush is the real techniques multi task brush.

Next my personal fave...eyes! This is the naked 3 pallete, I'm in love!
• Firstly, I'm taking limit all over my lid for a light pinky base.
• Secondly, I am slightly dabbing Trick over the lid to add a bit of shimmer.
• Lastly, taking burnout which is slightly a darker dustier colour in my crease.

Then I'm taking my favourite mascara ever. This is the Maybeline Big Eyes mascara! It really opens my eyes up and makes my lashes look long and natural. (feeling the Maybeline vibe running along through this blogpost).

Lastly, I'm taking the most GORGEOUS shimmery pink lipstick to put on my lips. This is a Revlon lip butter in the colour Peach parfait. Revlon lip butters don't only add colour but leave my lips mouisturised too.

I may post a cheeky selfie with this makeup on over on my Instagram ~ @its_dannix or my personal @daniellejcarty
I hope you enjoyed this blogpost! If you want to recreate this look feel free to tag me into a picture on Instagram! I would love to see it!

What's in my bag?♡

Helloooo lovelies!

Today I have a what's in my bag blogpost for you. Yes your probably wondering why I'm doing this for the second time but it's only because I went away at the weekend and realised there is a lot more things I actually take in my bag! I hope you enjoy this updated version!

This is my bag! I absolutely love it as it looks classy and elegant and I'm just in love♡ It's from amazon and was £22!

The first thing I pulled out is my purse. This is a Louis Vuitton purse, not paticuraly sure when or where I got this but I know it's quite old!  I'm looking for a new purse at the moment.

The inside looks like this. It holds a twenty pound note, some change, a Starbucks card, costa card, bank card and pets at home card, all very exciting.

Next I have my sunglasses, these are from primark and were £3! I just LOVE them.

I then have some little essentials... Tissues and strepsils because you never know when a sore throat will occur.

Here are some soap and glory MUST HAVES for me. I need hand maid with me all the time as I'm a bit of a germaphone but when I put this on in public people give me such weird looks. At least I'm clean. Then I have my soap and glory hand food, it is such a good moisturiser!

I like to take some lip balm with me because my lips are dry quite a lot so it's important I take lip balm out. I have Vaseline rosy lips and baby lips in peach kiss.

When I go out I like to take a little bag to keep my makeup essentials in. I take with me a blush brush for powder and the powder here is rimmel stay matte. I also take the pointed foundation brush for concelar and I need a mirror so take my urban decay basics pallete.
Sometime I will take my ipad out with me but it depends where I am going. If I am going on a long car journey or staying over somewhere I will probably take my ipad with me as I can watch Netflix! Also my ipad has 4G so it's really good to take out with me! This is an iPad mini Incase you were wondering.

And of course I will take my iPhone out with me! This is an iphone4s and I am seriously addicted to my phone. Especially Instagram, twitter and snapchat!

The case on my phone is from cath kidston.

I hope you enjoyed this blogpost and if you have any ideas for a new blogpost then feel free to kik me: Danielle.carty or dm me on Instagram: its_dannix

Review on the Bonjouris Healthy Mix foundation♡

Hello lovelies!

So today I thought I would post a review on my favourite foundation at the moment which is the Bonjouris healthy mix!

(Sorry about the blurry picture!)

Tho claims that it's good for your skin as it has fruit therapy in the foundation. My skin has stayed quite clear since I have been using this foundation and hardly any breakouts at all!

It's got a very low coverage (is that the word?!) and goes on my skin so well. I'm so pleased with this foundation but right now I'm searching for a higher coverage foundation! I am going to buy this in the summer as it just seems so perfect and you only need a light coverage in the hotness! I tan pretty easily I need to get a darker shade, this is the lightest shade!

I sometimes don't even use a brush to blend this foundation on sometimes just my fingers! Sadly I have nearly ran out of this foundation :( the only bad side to this foundation is I found it went really quickly, I don't know if I'm the only person who thought this. The foundation is £10.99 and can be found at boots and superdrug!

Hope you enjoyed this blogpost!
